CORTEN  (Weathering Steel)

As well as our FormBoss steel garden edging, we also stock Corten sheet that can be cut, folded and rolled into any imaginable shape,

from retaining walls and facades to covering existing walls, planter boxes, fire pits and firewood stands, 

to laser cutting light towers, garden art and privacy screens.

Sheet sizes are :

1.6mm and 3.0mm thick : 1200x2400 and 1200x3000.

6.0mm thick : 1200x3000.

Unlike mild steel, Corten steel seals itself to a stable, protective oxide layer on the surface of the steel, known as the 'patina'.

When exposed to the elements, the colour of the patina changes organically over time to a distinctive orangey rusty brown,

eliminating the need for painting.
